About Me: Software Developer, Language Enthusiast & Digital Nomad
Hello There! 👋
I'm a free software developer and language enthusiast, originally from Germany. My journey in software development has been driven by curiosity and a passion for elegant solutions to complex problems.
Regarding the format of the blog: I'm trying to make it a habit to write every week about my various projects and my thoughts regarding the technologies used, sometimes interspersed with personal stuff.
My Technical Interests
🔮 Programming Languages
I'm deeply fascinated by programming language design and implementation. Much of my spare time is spent exploring programming language theory, comparing different paradigms, and experimenting with interactive programming environments. Lisp-like languages hold a special place in my heart.
🎮 Game Development
Game development has been a long-standing passion of mine, from quick game jams to more ambitious long-term projects. I enjoy the creative freedom and technical challenges that come with building interactive experiences.
🌐 Web Development
I enjoy exploring different web technologies and stacks, constantly evaluating their trade-offs. Recently, I've been challenging myself to build smaller, focused web applications with tight time constraints to avoid perfectionism and actually ship things.
🐧 Free Software Philosophy
I believe strongly in open-source software and sharing knowledge. Most of my personal projects are released under free software licenses, and I'm always eager to learn from and contribute to the broader developer community.
I've come to appreciate the power of modern development tools while maintaining a thoughtful approach to their limitations. I value simplicity and pragmatism, always looking for the right balance between elegant design and practical implementation.
